Gnosjö Global Association

After almost two years of pandemic, Gnosjö Global Association finally embarked on a new journey.

The destinations were Kampala and Uganda, and the main purpose was to visit all the protégés and the local associations that are supported with medicine and financial aid. The aim is for the young girls to have somewhere to live and stay during their pregnancy. The local associations make sure that young girls receive maternity care during their pregnancy, can give birth in a hospital, that they can stay there for a while afterwards, and sometimes see to it that they can get a vocational training and thus a chance to become self-sufficient.

As a company and employer, By Rydéns plays an important role in society, which we take very seriously. Our social commitment embraces ecological as well as social and economic areas. It is therefore natural for us to support measures that benefit our company as well as the world around us. For several years now, we have been proud supporters of the Gnosjo Global Association, a non-profit organisation that operates internationally. The organisation is committed to health, saving lives, fighting poverty and strengthening endangered areas. Gnosjö Global with Monica in the lead visited Nepal again in September 2019. Then to hold a Women Health Camp. About 250 women received a free health examination with gynecological focus, as well as treatment, when required.

In January 2019, Gnosjo Global's volunteer Monica Hellström went to the city of Haldia outside Kolkata in India with the international organization Operation Smile. For two weeks, she worked there completely voluntarily as a surgical nurse.
